Mile Hi Solar is different than most solar companies that you will find in Colorado because we do a variety of different types of solar. Many companies will do just PV, or just solar thermal. We have expertise in all areas, to serve you better. If you already know what you want, we can do it, whether it's an off grid PV system, a grid-tied PV system, fixing an old solar thermal system installed in the 80's, or putting in a new space heating system. If you are not sure what sort of solar is best for your needs, we can evaluate all of the options to find what really fits you best, rather than pushing you towards just one option like some companies might because it's the only one they sell. We have NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) certificiation in PV, and CoSEIA (Colorado Solar Energy Industry Association) certification in both PV and Solar Thermal. In addition to showing that we know what we're doing, these certifications are also required in some areas to qualify for rebates and incentives.
Because of the diversity of our offerings, we are not dependent on any particular rebate or incentive programs, and will be around after other companies designed to capitalize on single incentive program have gone under due to changing situations.
We also pride ourselves in customer service... we're not geared towards production installation like some companies where your project becomes just another number in the quarterly profits spreadsheet. We want to learn about your particular situation and develop a solution that fits your needs.

industry for over a decade. He holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Studies and is a renowned expert of
renewable energy. He is a Licensed Master Mechanical/HV and holds
many certifications. He's trained local municipalities and building
departments on solar energy. He's also the lead
instructor on solar for the RMSLA. He has designed,
installed or serviced over a thousand solar systems in his career.
He's quick to point out that he started in renewables long before this
era of rebates and incentives and plans on being around long after
they are gone. His vision for MHS is to provide clients with systems that use "modern technology with old fashioned

Ryan has worked in the renewable energy field for over 5 years. His expertise resides in photovoltaics with grid tie and off grid applications. He is also a expert in energy efficiency and alternative heating solutions. Ryan spends his time in Allenspark Colorado with his wife and two daughters. Ryan has completed the SEI training courses in photovoltaics.

Carla has been with Mile Hi Solar for almost 2 years now. She came not knowing much about solar. "I can proudly say that I have grown and gained knowledge of the wonder of solar!" She is very passionate about learning more and spreading the the word of how solar is so beneficial to people and our environment. She is our operations manager and can facilitate with general questions and help get you started with your solar needs.

Mike is worked hard starting out as an Apprentice 4 years ago and has quickly worked his way up to Journey level expertise. He's attended many professional trainings in both Thermal and PV as well as OSHA and First-Aid. His quick wit and friendly demeanor make him a client favorite and he always makes sure that they stay satisfied throughout the installation process.
